With his anti-doping whereabouts hearing seemingly nearing its end, Russell has now turned his focus on getting back into shape to resume playing competitive cricket.
Russell who had postponed his trip to the United Arab Emirates to join the West Indies to deal with his on-going hearing, has admitted that it's been painful watching his teammates lose seven straight matches to Pakistan.
While remaining positive that the ruling in his current whereabouts rule violation case will end in his favour, Russell admits he can't wait to shed the mental burden.
Russell faces a maximum two year ban from cricket for his whereabouts rule violation. His final hearing is set for November 17.
